Technology and Optical Fiber Cable Network

Telecom Cambodia (T.C.) has continued to develop its technology in line with the evolution of the telecommunications industry to meet current market demands and competition. T.C. expects that, in the near future, it will adopt the latest technology, IMS (Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem), which will enable the entire Circuit and Digital systems to operate together on a single platform. As a result, human resources will be equipped with advanced technological skills through capacity-building programs under the Japanese Government’s low-interest loan project, while a wide range of services will also be developed through this advanced and secure system.

Telecom Cambodia (T.C.) has an optical fiber backbone network arranged in a ring topology along major national roads in Cambodia, as well as international optical fiber connections with partners such as VNPT/VTI in Vietnam and ETL in Laos. T.C.’s highly secure submarine cable network provides connectivity to the Point of Presence (POP) in Hong Kong and to the rest of the world through the AAG and SMW3 submarine cable systems.
